What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Representative position at Care Plus NJ, Inc.?
Job Summary:
Your primary responsibilities include ensuring that monthly goals are met, adhering to specific collections procedures and policies, and assisting with patient accounts and reimbursement services. You must have a strong knowledge of NJ Medicaid and Medicare billing guidelines/collections.
What You Will Do:
- Assist and maintain appropriate internal controls over accounts receivable.
- Assist with and monitor accounts sent for collection and reimbursements from insurance companies and other third party payers.
- Review, monitors, and evaluates third party reimbursement compliance and researches variances.
- Keep abreast of all reimbursement billing procedures of third party and private insurance payers and government regulations.
- Process insurance payments to client accounts in computerized system.
- Identify, track, and resolve payment discrepancies through claims adjustments.
- Verify benefit entries to ensure accuracy.
- Submit appeal letters as needed.
- Contact clients regarding outstanding balances.
- Respond to client billing and statement inquiries.
- Make recommendations to management for write-offs.
- Use all Patient Accounting systems including Emdeon, MyEvolv, Navinet to research billing issues.
- Perform clerical functions, Xeroxing, filing.
What We Need to See:
- Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year accredited college or university; or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver's license required and must be insurable by agency's automobile insurance.
