What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Design Engineer position at Career Collective?
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist Design Engineer and Design Team in the design of runways, taxiways, aprons, and other airfield facilities. Work typically involves grading, paving, drainage and other civil engineering related work.
- Provide assistance with planning documents, construction cost estimates, and perform computer aided design.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports, calculations, project drawings, details & specifications. Assist in review of construction shop drawings and construction site visits.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned with growing levels of responsibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
- 0-4 years of experience with good background in civil engineering principles
- Growing proficiency with AutoCAD
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Produce organized, accurate and professional work products
- Ability to work independently and in small groups
- Ability to manage, prioritize and meet schedule requirements for multiple projects/tasks
