Supports MT System Architecture maintenance and evolution for multiple sites. Provides support for aircraft automation systems by providing technical planning, analyzing, testing, configuration, integration, installation, implementation, quality assurance, maintenance, and management of network systems. Work requires analyzing and defining network requirements and its architecture and infrastructure; configuring and optimizing network servers and switches; analyzing network workload and monitoring its capacity and performance; diagnosing and resolving network problems and developing backup and recovery procedures. Serves as Systems/Network Administrator, Database Administrator, and provides customer support. This position requires a DoD Secret clearance.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, system and application logs, and completion of scheduled jobs.
- Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
- Configure/add new services as necessary.
- Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary.
- Provide support for Web Applications.
- Work with development team to validate and implement the correct installation/configuration of all resources utilized in the development environment.
- Provide daily operations support for databases and database servers.
- Manage Microsoft SQL Server database systems while insuring high levels of data integrity and availability.
- Work closely with Software Developers and Senior Database Administrators.
- Assist with managing database backups.
- Provide hardware/software support for mobile devices in development and production.
- Furnish backup support for software testing when all testers are otherwise occupied.
- Assist with maintaining inventory and configuration of test computers.
- Provide administrator-level support training.
- Support a full range of hardware and software applications including personal computers, and network servers.
- Provides end-user support, troubleshoots problems and implements changes in assigned areas.
- Build Deployable Servers.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Perform routine clerical, administrative, and logistics tasks as required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Medium/50 lbs. maximum lifting with frequent lift/carry up to 25 lbs. Some occasional walking or standing may be required.
