Spang & Company, a manufacturer with global operations in China and the United States, has an opening for an Electronic Test Technician at the Spang Engineered Solutions division located in the West Valley of Phoenix, Arizona. Spang Engineered Solutions designs and manufactures custom inductive components for an array of different industries.
This position will be responsible for performing electrical tests as directed by drawings, schematics, and manuals on electrical components and assisting in other mechanical assembly operations as required.
Major Responsibilities:
- Set up and calibrate test equipment per written operating procedures.
- Test electronic component parts, compare instrument readings with specifications, record test data and plots test results, reconnect disconnected leads.
- Follow test procedures as outlined on internal drawings and specifications.
- Use multimeters, inductance bridges, hi-pot meters and custom equipment to perform testing.
- Perform visual inspection of electronic components.
- Test small and large volume production of electronic components.
- Wind magnetic wire onto plastic bobbins.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications include an associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, or Industrial Automation or a high school diploma or GED with equivalent experience. The ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics is required. Manual dexterity to assemble devices is essential.
