Job Description

Code 8553, the Test Equipment Engineering Branch, of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) is responsible for the development, maintenance, and upgrading of test sets in support of the Heavyweight and Lightweight Torpedo Programs. In support of this mission, they are seeking a Systems Engineer with an electrical engineer/software engineer degree to support that development, maintenance, and upgrade of torpedo test systems in support of torpedo programs.

Job Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's level degree in Electrical Engineering/Software Engineering discipline. Masters degree preferred.

Experience:

15 years of professional experience in systems engineering.

Experience with the MK48 torpedo and associated test equipment such as the MK660 test set.

Preferred Qualifications:

•   Experience working with DoD system engineering and integration
•   Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
•   Excellent verbal and written communication.

Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
