Qualifications
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, related field or equivalent technical training OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
Experience: 3 years Accounting/financial experience. Good understanding of GAPP, STAT, and federal regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
Healthcare insurance industry experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSAs)
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Eligible Preferred
Salary Range: $59,616 - $118,404

Essential Functions
- Analyzes and prepares journal entries and monthly account reconciliations, responding to internal and external auditors, management, and finance department inquiries.
- Prepares various accounting and financial reports, analyzes and verifies data and financial reports to produce the financial results for assigned business units and challenge accounting processes. Analyzes trends, calculates variances to the budget and verifies data. Interfaces with other areas to develop reporting specifications, methods and procedures, and prioritizes requests.
- Performs moderately to complex analysis, gathers, compiles and interprets financial data to ensure compliance with applicable regulations or guidelines, Prepares various accounting and financial reports, analyzes and verifies data and financial reports to produce the financial results for assigned business units and challenge accounting processes.
- Responds to manager, director, and executive inquiries, handles special requests, researches moderately complex accounting issues. Prepares financial data for presentation to upper management.
