Part-Time Weekend Overnight Crisis Intervention Specialist (Not Remote)
The Intervention Specialist will implement policies, protocols, and services designed to assist individuals at risk of dying by suicide, individuals who are impacted by someone with suicidal behavior, or individuals who are otherwise experiencing a crisis. This position also provides support, information, and referral for non-crisis calls. Services are provided via phone calls or text messaging. As a member of the Careline team, you will interact with clients and staff in a respectful and empowering manner, exercise consistent and dependable attendance, and attend all mandatory staff meetings. At Careline, all staff present a professional demeanor and maintain confidentiality according to established best practices and Alaska statute(s).
Minimum Qualifications include: an Associate's degree in Human Services or a closely related field, prior work or life experience may be used in lieu of the degree. We look for candidates who possess excellent interpersonal, group, and written communication skills, and demonstrate a commitment to the agency's mission and goals. Candidates should expect to work with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and lifestyles. Candidates should be proficient with computers and data entry and must be able to work independently. All potential employees must pass a background check.
Hours: Part-time (less than 31 hours per week)
Shifts Available:
Fri/Sat/Sun: 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. and/or 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Salary: DOE, non-exempt.
Location: Office Location is in Fairbanks, Alaska - (Not Remote)
