What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver position at Carepool?
Carepool is transportation enabled by the software we built to service aging adults and people with disabilities. Our marketplace of drivers are making transportation accessible for everyone!

You'll help others go to work, medical appointments or just go out in the community.
It's similar to other rideshare models, but we provide more assistance and care to the service. (we call it Rideshare ) End every day knowing you made a difference while helping others!
Requirements: Excellent personality with the ability to read people and solve problems. 100% clean driving record (minus a minor ticket or two, every 2-5 years) is required. Safe and Secure Transport is our middle name, so you need to be able to make it yours!
Must be at least 21 yrs old and have 1-year Professional Driving experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Transport passengers safely to their destinations, ensuring comfort and security during the ride.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, especially those with disabilities or mobility challenges.
- Maintain a clean and well-functioning vehicle, adhering to safety regulations at all times.
- Plan efficient routes to minimize travel time while maximizing service quality.
- Communicate effectively with passengers regarding ride details and any necessary accommodations.
- Document ride details accurately for record-keeping purposes.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any passenger needs or concerns during the ride.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience in delivery driving or as a courier preferred.
- Strong customer service skills to ensure positive passenger experiences.
- Ability to assist with heavy lifting when necessary, especially for passengers requiring additional support.
- Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools.
- Experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours based on passenger needs.
