We are seeking a compassionate Veterinarian with an interest or experience in surgery and dentals to help grow our thriving practice! All levels of experience will be considered, and the ideal candidate will be friendly, personable and a team player.

Since 1993, the team at Belton Veterinary Center has proudly served Belton and the surrounding communities with compassionate, high-quality care. We are dedicated to providing progressive, personalized medical treatment tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Our facility features three exam rooms and two separate entrances - one specifically for our feline patients and one for dogs to help create a calm, stress-free enviornment for both pets and their owners. We are equipped with diagnostic and treatment technologies, including digital radiography, cold therapy laser, surgical cutting laser, ultrasound, dental equipment, lift tables, in-house Idexx lab equipment, and a full pharmacy area. We take great pride in our experienced, tenured team and the strong, supportive culture we’ve cultivated - making our practice a great place to join for your veterinary career!

- Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems
- Treat and dress wounds
- Perform surgery on animals
- Test for and vaccinate against diseases
- Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines
- Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments
- Prescribe medication
- Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality care
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
- Licensure in the state/s candidate will be working
- Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
- Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
- Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal
- Strong fondness and understanding of animals
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of animal behavior
- Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
