Qualifications
Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Crisis provides on-site emergency screenings, evaluations and consultation to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.
Examples of Duties:
- A willingness to work in the environments needed to care for the consumer in the most appropriate manner. This includes but is not limited to, CAREY outpatient offices, jails, emergency room, and schools.
- A willingness to meet and work with personnel from other community agencies to explain crisis services and develop methods of coordinating services.
- Provide prompt, courteous service to clients, their families, and referral sources.
- Provide and document efforts to ensure an adequate resolution to crisis situations through the utilization of all available resources.
- Provide active and documented follow-up to clients to help ensure adequate completion of the crisis situation within 12-24 hours following the assessment.
- Conduct crisis assessments in accordance with agency timeframe standards.
- Complete assessments and other documents in a professional manner and according to designated timeliness.
- Participate in training, in-service, and professional meetings as specified by the supervisor.
- Utilizes personal vehicle to provide services to consumers in the community.
- Follows all guidelines outlined in the CAREY Policies and Procedures Manual including Corporate Compliance Policies.
- Is expected to have regular and predictable attendance and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field is preferred. Experience in a mental health setting is preferred but not required.
Salary : $37,800 - $47,900
