IT Support Technician

Cargomatic is in search of an IT Support Technician with problem solving and customer service skills to help Cargomatic users navigate the ever-changing technology waters. Are you passionate about technology? Are you the person your friends and family go to for help with their technology? Can you take complex solutions and present them simply to end users? We’re looking for an IT Technician who will help build the groundwork for a successful IT Team. Our ideal IT technician will think of out of the box solutions to complex problems and can provide professional support to a rapidly growing company. As always with IT support, patience is key as well as ensuring the users have a great experience with their technology. We are a growing IT department so you will have the opportunity to work on many different projects.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Troubleshooting issues related to End User Devices including but not limited to: Windows and Mac computers, Mobile Devices, Printers, Scanners, Vendors, Applications, WiFi, Google Workspace and more
  • Troubleshoot issues and help implement Company software such as Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom Video, Zoom Phone, and MDM software.
  • Onboarding and offboarding users.
  • Updating inventory and software license management.
  • Can help moving/setting up desks, including crawling under and plugging things in, lifting up to 45 lbs for moving hardware.
  • Properly handle your ticket workspace in our growing help desk system - everything clean, updated, resolved properly, and generally done aesthetically
  • Provide constant communication proactively to avoid customer frustration or long time on their computers during working hours
  • Be the friendly face of IT for employees in the office

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or equivalent certifications/experience
  • Experience working in a Macintosh environment 
  • Experience with managing Google Workspace is a plus.
  • You are the perfect Help Desk Technician candidate if you can be patient, persistent, tap into your imagination, accept help, embrace criticism, adapt to change, and remain clear on your goals to completion
  • We require a highly efficient problem solver who can remain objective when you are in the process of solving a problem
  • An exceptional communicator who can always put the user first
  • You can think outside the box and find more than one solution to address the problem
  • A confident candidate with a no-excuses mindset whose core belief is honesty, and you never take shortcuts
  • Always willing to learn in a changing environment.
  • You remain patient and cool headed when nothing works
