Caring Places Management is actively recruiting for a Maintenance Team Member to join our Memory Care community, Carriage Place, in Prineville, OR. This position reports directly to the Administrator and fills a crucial role within the community by coordinating facility maintenance and upkeep. You will be expected to perform general maintenance functions such as routine plumbing and electrical repair, changing lightbulbs, and repairing damaged furniture in order to keep our facility safe and orderly for our wonderful residents.

Requirements
Job Duties:
- Coordinate maintenance and upkeep with Administrator/Office Manager;
- Be alert and active in supporting facility’s commitment to safe practices, infection control, and respect for residents’ rights;
- Perform general maintenance functions, including routine plumbing repair, routine electrical repair, changing of light bulbs and tubes, repair damaged furniture and fixtures, etc.;
- Respond promptly to staff and resident requests for assistance relating to maintenance;
- Be observant for conditions or practices relating to the physical plant and maintenance equipment which are unsafe and could cause injury to anyone on the premises. Take appropriate action to correct them;
- Coordinate projects in an organized and prioritized manner;
- Provide or coordinate routine grounds maintenance as needed;
- Assure that all safety equipment is in proper working order at all times;
- Provide carpentry work, surface repair, painting, as needed;
- Assist in planning large projects by meeting with contractors to:
- Explain project and get bids
- Oversight of contractor through completion of job;
Qualifications:
- Must have a working knowledge of building maintenance and upkeep;
- Competence in understanding and providing routine maintenance to electrical, plumbing and other systems;
- Must have the ability to understand and follow safety procedures and precautions as they apply to maintenance functions;
- Must be able to follow all Safety/OSHA regulations;
- Must have good communication skills;
- Must have a strong commitment to customer service;
- Ability to lift, push or pull 25 pounds, up to 30 time per shift;
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, kneel and reach.
