Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Provide direct support in accordance with individualized care plans.
- Monitor and document client health status and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare personnel.
- Help clients with mobility tasks, including lifting or transferring them safely as needed.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home community care or group home settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of CPR and basic first aid is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with creating and following care plans tailored to individual client needs.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to lift and assist clients as required for their mobility needs.
- A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others, particularly seniors or individuals requiring special assistance.
- Certification in home health or senior care is a plus but not mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided.
