Description
Candidate will have competent troubleshooting skills in PLC programming, servo systems, industrial controls, motor controls and electric circuits. Thorough knowledge and/or experience in industrial automation networks, safety devices, and electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic systems. Basic understanding CAD (AutoCAD). Individual must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and/or in a cross-functional work team environment. Individual must possess strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities.

Requirements
Specific Duties:
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager the position will be responsible to:
- Respond to machine breakdowns. Work independently or as part of a group to troubleshoot and repair existing equipment and facility systems
- Identify root cause of equipment failures and suggest preventive actions
- Follow written instructions to perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities
- Work with engineering to upgrade existing equipment for enhanced safety, functionality, and/or reliability.
- Work on machine rebuild projects
- Support the installation of new equipment or rearrangement of existing equipment. This includes running utilities, working with trucking and rigging contractors, accurately positioning equipment to a provided layout, leveling equipment, and pre-startup safety checks
- Operate band saws, drill presses, bench grinders and MIG welders to design and fabricate items such as workbenches, platforms, fixtures, and carts
- Identify and order machine components and materials required to complete any given job
- Accurately estimate time required to complete any given job
- Interface with our computerized maintenance management system to retrieve work orders and preventive maintenance activities, issues parts, and record closing information
- Carry out cleaning activities whenever necessary. This includes floor sweeping and scrubbing, trash removal, and collection of waste oil and water
- Support the Carlisle Operating System (lean manufacturing) with an emphasis on improving our Total Productive Maintenance initiative
- Work flexible hours, be willing to stay over to complete critical tasks, and work weekend hours when needed. Must be willing and able to travel occasionally as required (not typically a part of the job function, for training purposes, <5%)
Work Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong working knowledge of mechanical power transmission, hydraulics and pneumatics, welding and fabricating, pipe fitting, and constriction trades
- Must possess strong communication skills, analytical abilities and the ability to multi-task
