Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize guest flow.
- Provide menus and inform guests of daily specials or promotions.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, assisting with inquiries and reservations.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with empathy and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station.
- Assist in training new hosts/hostesses as needed.
Skills
- Previous Host/Host experience preferred, along with food service knowledge.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Restaurant experience is a plus, particularly in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Background in hotel or guest services can enhance the candidate's profile.
- Ability to build rapport with guests through effective guest relations techniques.
- Knowledge of serving etiquette and hospitality best practices.
