Content Specialist, Math

Are you a superior communicator with an outgoing attitude, deep content knowledge and a heart for teaching that, when combined, will help Carnegie Learning sales executives connect with their customers, understand issues in their markets, and message company solutions with the goal of maximizing revenue? The Content Specialist works alongside account executives to enable them with knowledge and tools they need to be successful. The Specialist provides timely and customized support for sales opportunities including creating messaging, training sales staff, delivering sales presentations, and providing follow-up service to customers to close the business. Every day is different, challenging, and rewarding! This position is full time and reports to the Director of Sales Enablement.

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

• Prepare and deliver formal coaching activities to sales teams relative to product, content, and pedagogy
• Present focused sales presentations of Carnegie Learning products
• Provide informal coaching and content support to sales teams in all sales environments, including customer visits, pre-sales meetings, exhibits, caravans, etc.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of Carnegie Learning products and solutions, and their placement in the market
• Participate in pre-work and market study of new instructional solutions as needed
• Monitor progress of sales campaigns and the value of specific strategies and tools
• Stay informed of current industry trends; actively identifies opportunities for learning; learn and apply new concepts to improve performance; share information with others.
• Share best practices for content area instruction with colleagues, teachers, and leaders
• Remain knowledgeable of competition in the content area(s), alter messaging based on competitors strengths and weaknesses
• Participate in in-depth studies of the competition
• Communicate competition internally with key stakeholders from Carnegie Learning.
• Help Director to judge the effectiveness of sales enablement activities, strategies, and tools

WHAT SHOULD BE IN YOUR BACKPACK

• Bachelors degree in education content area. Masters degree or higher in leadership/related highly preferred
• 5 years of experience teaching middle or high school required in the content area. Administrative experience a plus
• 3 years of experience mentoring, coaching, or managing teachers and/or professional development
• Sales experience a plus
• Basic understanding of school and district infrastructure including technology environments and management systems; keeps up with current trends
• A quick learner that can perform a wide variety of tasks and can change focus quickly as demands change; manages transitions effectively from task to task; adapts to varying customer needs
• Previous sales experience desirable
• Expertise with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Adobe & other design software, Asana, Google Classroom
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
