Pharmacy Technician II

Basic Function

Assist Pharmacist in Long Term Care Pharmacy with the data entry, preparation and dispensing of prescribed medications and other pharmaceutical needs for resident care within established corporate guidelines.

Duties

1. Data entry of resident personal information.
2. Data entry of prescription specifics.
3. Assist pharmacist with prescription processing.
4. Assist pharmacy technician I with questions/issues.
5. Assist with insurance questions/issues.
6. Assist customers with questions/issues.
7. Assist with distribution, ordering and return of inventory.
8. Assist delivery technician with routing questions/issues.
9. General knowledge of insurance plans, coverage and requirements.
10. Knowledgeable of services offered.
11. Promptly assist customers with products and services.
12. Provide quality customer service to the customer.
13. Promptly answer multi-line telephone.
14. General knowledge of all company products, services and locations.
15. Act in a professional manner at all times to customers and other employees.
16. Interact as needed with other departments and locations regarding products and services.
17. Operate standard office equipment including:
    1. photocopy machine
    2. fax machine
    3. computer/printer
    4. postage machine
    5. multi-line telephone
18. Keep pharmacy area neat and clean.
19. Comply with HIPAA policies and procedures.
20. Comply with all company policies and procedures.
21. Other related duties as assigned.
