JOB TITLE: Machine Operator
Location: Cold Spring, MN
Department: Production – Plant B
Status: non-exempt
Position Summary: This position is responsible to perform general production work using various production equipment to ensure all company and customers expectations are being met for their specific product.
Alcohol is an ingredient in products we produce. We are unable to guarantee specific positions, work schedules or work environments that do not include working around alcohol.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the new production line initiatives meet organizational objectives this will include changes to technology and systems, changes to business processes and changes in organizational structure and job roles.
- Strive to achieve quick adoption of change and ensure efficient understanding and training in order to achieve organizational proficiency to handle new initiatives and projects.
- Operates Production equipment.
- Attends training on new processes and equipment. This may include self study.
- Ensures codes and product are meeting quality standards per company/customer.
- Supplies boxes or trays to equipment and verifies that the correct packaging is being used.
- Performs hand stacking and repacking of product as needed.
- Assists in housekeeping and running compactor for crushing boxes as required.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or required by the supervisor/customer.
- Adhere to and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined in Employee Handbook.
- Adhere to and comply with quality production and Food Safety.
Position Requirements:
- 1-3 years’ experience in a Production environment is preferred, but not required.
- Extended standing on hard surfaces.
- Regular bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50lbs.
- Will work around noise, dust, variable temperatures and use of production chemicals
- Position must be able to communicate with all levels of employees, vendors, customers and visitors.
