Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manages the pest control vendor service programs and housekeeping vendor services for maintaining the hygienic conditions of the manufacturing facility and warehouse locations
- Verify proper reporting is being completed with regards to sanitation chemical concentrations, industrial chemical dosing concentrations for the conveyor lubricants and pasteurizers, and pest control trend analysis
- Ensure all industrial sanitation and housekeeping chemical inventory is being tagged with the correct Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and warning labels
- Coordinate SDS filing and approve new industrial sanitation and housekeeping chemicals
- Manage GMP Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provisions, housekeeping cleaning supplies, and sanitation chemical inventory while keeping the production lines supplied at the point of use storage areas
- Monitor employee practices that relate to cleanliness, sanitation, and pest control for interior and exterior areas of the manufacturing facility and warehouse locations
- Responsible for the development, implementation, documentation, training and on-going improvement of the sanitation program in support of the company's Food Safety Systems Certification (FSSC22000) compliance
- Assist and participate with all Customer and third-party auditing agencies
- Develops and implements new methods, procedures, and systems to improve sanitation performance
- Serve as the Master Sanitation Coordinator and verify/review all weekly sanitation logs
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and operated according to established sanitary and housekeeping standards, to highest efficiency necessary
- Train team members on how to react to chemical concentrations being out of specification range
- Train team members on sanitation and housekeeping chemical safety, proper chemical applications, and spill prevention/containment practices
- Must understand the manufacturing system and be able to both use and train team members on the proper disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of all equipment
- Manage the facilities housekeeping team, sanitation team, and support the operations teams with all sanitation and recycling operations at manufacturing facility and warehouse locations
- Supervises operations to comply with all applicable safety regulations and Company safety policies
- Responsible for Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Sampling Program
- Manage the manufacturing plant’s Wastewater Pre-Treatment system processes
- Key stakeholder for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Tier II reporting program
- Certified and familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within area of responsibility. (i.e., Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI), HACCP, DOT HAZMAT transportation, Safety, GMPs, 5S, etc.)
- Communicates Safety, Quality, and Food Safety policies to all employees. Ensures such policies are applied by all employees.
- Manage the Clean-In-Place (CIP), Clean-Out-of-Place (COP), and Allergen Cross-Contact sanitation systems
