IT & OT Site Administrator
Location: New-Indy Containerboard (NICB) | 24/7/365 Manufacturing Environment

IT & OT business relationships
Problem resolution
This role is responsible for the overall support of the network, infrastructure, and end-user computing technology deployed at NICB for the site.

The IT & OT Site Administrator:
Leads day-to-day problem resolution
Aligns with NICB’s IT & OT Policies & Standards
Acts as a liaison across departments
Drives tech initiatives and ensures alignment with business objectives
To ensure success, the ideal candidate should:
Have knowledge of IT & OT platforms and systems
Understand the manufacturing technology space
Be driven to learn every aspect of NICB’s business
Collaborate for continuous improvement of NICB’s Enterprise IT & OT organization
- ️ What You'll do daily:
High-level Day-to-Day Problem Resolution
- Leverage your technical skills to resolve tickets and problems escalated within the site
- Determine the root cause of problems and eliminate those barriers to success
- Work with end users to ensure proper training
- Document all systems, SMEs, and system connectivity to ensure support success
- Maintain support agreements on pertinent technologies within the site and minimize business impact
- Work with Enterprise Security to mitigate site-specific opportunities
High-level Strategy & Planning
- Develop site support SMEs; establish comprehensive training programs
- Alert management to emerging trends in incidents
- Work with business process owners to develop and maintain site Business Continuity Plans
- Drive continuous improvement at the site through innovation and process optimization
- Use your experience and collaborate with NICB’s Enterprise IT & OT teams to deliver tech-driven business value
Project Management & Development Support Outline
- Help manage projects for IT & OT: planning, deadlines, deliverables, budgets, and stakeholder relationships
- Meet regularly with management and production staff to identify issues and offer solutions
- Present opportunities for improved efficiency, including full project scope, TCO, ROIC, and milestones
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or equivalent experience
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Excellent documentation and customer service orientation
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Experience in or supporting a manufacturing environment
- Cross-functional team and process management experience
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft OS and networking protocols
- IT/OT process control systems experience
- MS Office support expertise
- Familiarity with ITIL principles
- Backup and administrative task experience
- Bonus: Experience with OSIsoft PI, Majiq Elixir, IBM Maximo, QISOFT
- Quick learner, tech researcher, and user-friendly communicator
- Highly self-motivated and problem-solving focused
- Ability to prioritize in a high-pressure environment
- Team player with a flexible, collaborative approach

- 40-hour on-site work week
- Emergency call-in availability for a 24-hour production environment
- Ability to lift 40 lbs unassisted
- Dexterity for keyboard, mouse, tools, and components
- Physically able to attend meetings, sessions, and presentations
- Occasional travel for software/system integration
