What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Coordinator position at Carolina Health and Hearing, Inc.?
Carolina Health and Hearing is looking for a skilled Patient Care Coordinator who is driven, self-motivated, and passionate about helping patients and providers. The ideal candidate will possess strong personal and administrative skills.
Daily tasks and responsibilities may include:
- Welcome patients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
- Optimize patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by checking in the patient in a timely fashion
- Tracking and follow-up with patient cancellations and no shows
- Protect patient rights by maintaining confidentiality of patient records
- Contribute to team effort by assisting with additional duties and when support is requested
- Effectively maintain provider appointment schedules
- Retrieve and file patient records as needed
- Collect payment from patients
- Process billing and insurance claims
- Maintain accurate patient records by updating patient’s information and scanning documents into EMR as needed
- Appointment scheduling using company scheduling protocols and internal scheduling database software
- Keep our office patient ready by managing our office supply inventory per company approved lists
- Clean the office
- Othe duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- HIPAA and OSHA compliance; promote a safe work environment at all times
- Excellent communication skills
- Working knowledge of computers, fax, copiers and other technology
- Strong administrative skills, with attention to detail in accuracy
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1 year medical front desk experience preferred

Pay: From $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
