What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Coordinator position at Carolina Health and Hearing, Inc.?

Carolina Health and Hearing is looking for a skilled Patient Care Coordinator who is driven, self-motivated, and passionate about helping patients and providers. The ideal candidate will possess strong personal and administrative skills.

Daily tasks and responsibilities may include:

  • Welcome patients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
  • Optimize patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by checking in the patient in a timely fashion
  • Tracking and follow-up with patient cancellations and no shows
  • Protect patient rights by maintaining confidentiality of patient records
  • Contribute to team effort by assisting with additional duties and when support is requested
  • Effectively maintain provider appointment schedules
  • Retrieve and file patient records as needed
  • Collect payment from patients
  • Process billing and insurance claims
  • Maintain accurate patient records by updating patient’s information and scanning documents into EMR as needed
  • Appointment scheduling using company scheduling protocols and internal scheduling database software
  • Keep our office patient ready by managing our office supply inventory per company approved lists
  • Clean the office
  • Othe duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • HIPAA and OSHA compliance; promote a safe work environment at all times
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Working knowledge of computers, fax, copiers and other technology
  • Strong administrative skills, with attention to detail in accuracy

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1 year medical front desk experience preferred

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: From $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
