What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel assistant position at Carolina Veterinary Hospital?
Growing hospital seeking experienced self-starter for open kennel position. Shifts include Monday through Friday, 3:00pm. until 9:00 p.m. ( /-). May occasionally be asked to cover weekend shifts. Must have experience with dog and cat husbandry. Duties include feeding, watering, and walking dogs, general feline husbandry, administering oral medications to dogs and cats, laundry, general cleaning duties, and animals restraint when aiding veterinary assistance or veterinarian. Hourly pay based on experience and work ethic. Generous employee discount. Must be able to safely lift and carry 50 lb, manual expression of dog and cat bladder, assisting with defecation for dogs and cats with spinal injuries is requirement for position.
