DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES: 

1. The Dispatcher is responsible for dispatching trips to Transportation Fee for Service (FFS) or inner department drivers and to update all transportation logs accordingly
2. Responsible for scheduling of vehicle repairs and service as well as to communicate with the lead dispatcher during this process.
3. The Dispatcher will coordinate distribution of all mail including inter-office mail and packages.
4. Responsible to maintain a variety of Transportation Logs and Spreadsheets
5. Must be able to drive for trips and deliver mail when necessary
6. The Dispatcher must be available during off duty hours and to the Supervisor of Transportation and Security to perform other duties
7. Responsible to rotate the vehicles efficiently when assigning trips
8. Customer Service must be top priority
9. The Dispatcher is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness of Caron vehicles by assigning drivers to clean the vehicles campus wide and logging accordingly.
10. Must be able to do all duties of driver and dispatcher.
11. The Dispatcher is responsible for doing the billable trips and sending to accounting.
12. Responsible to utilize Uni-shippers to send packages and track parcels.
13. Utilizes the arrival system to scan and log all incoming packages via USPS/UPS and Fed-ex.
14. Report to Supervisor any issues that pertain to the Transportation Department that may impact daily operations. This may include daily updates and weekly meetings in the absence of the lead dispatcher.
15. The Dispatcher will assist the lead dispatcher in driver training as needed.

      1. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

      2. Must possess the ability to physically ambulate throughout the campus for extended periods of time.

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be 21years of age or older
2. Must produce and maintain a valid driver license in accordance with the driving standards policy
3. Must meet minimum requirements on motor vehicle reports in accordance with the driving standards policy
4. If in recovery, a minimum of 1 year of continuous sobriety is preferred
5. Current CPR and First Aid certification or obtaining these certifications within 180 days of starting employment.
6. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Must be able to perform computer tasks such as sending and receiving emails via Microsoft outlook, accessing documents and folders. Must be able to learn Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint.
2. Must be able to multi-task
3. Be a good communicator and listener - must be courteous and professional with internal and external clients at all times
4. Possess basic computer skills
5. Must be able to read maps and navigate
6. Must get along with clients and staff
7. Must be able to work flexible hours
