What are the responsibilities and job description for the Childcare Specialist position at Carroll County Memorial Hospital?
Provide constant supervision of children in your care inside the center as well as outside on the playground, and on field trips
Keep records on individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, and medications administered
Instruct children in health and personal habits such as eating, resting, and toilet habits
Provide developmentally appropriate educational opportunities to children, including reading, writing, math, science, art, and must maintain confidentiality of child and family information
Organize and participate in recreational activities, such as games
Assist in preparing food for children and serve meals and refreshments to children and regulate rest periods
Assist children in self-care routines (diapering, washing hands, changing clothes, etc.)
Perform housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning/sanitizing, dishwashing, and changing of linens
Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts
Maintain a healthy environment both inside and outside that promotes learning
Assist in preparing and maintaining the center to meet Missouri licensing requirements
Communicate to the Center Director observed safety, physical, and licensing issues immediately
Maintain regular and predictable attendance; report to work as scheduled; provide proper notification to your immediate supervisor regarding a need to be absent from work
Attend all required staff meetings, functions and staff development opportunities
Collaborate professionally and respectfully with other members of your team
All other job related duties as assigned
