Description
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Unit Clerk at Carroll Lutheran Village!
What You'll Do as the GNA Unit Clerk at Carroll Lutheran Village:
- Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information.
- Monitor response to call bells and assist with answering as needed.
- Record medical and administrative information in accordance with our established charting and documentation policies and procedures.
- Maintain an up-to-date roster of residents for your assigned unit.
- Answer telephone deliver messages to residents, etc., as necessary.
- Maintain a current listing of emergency phone numbers for your assigned unit.
- Record appropriate resident identification data on designated medical records, wristbands, ID cards, etc., as required.
- Prepare billing sheets for Business Office at end of every month.
- Stock supplies and keeps storage area clean.
- Check inventory of supplies update PAR levels as needed, track ancillary charges including charge slips and send to business office.
- Coordinate and assist with clerical functions at nurses’ station.
- Running miscellaneous errands – purchasing supplies from community stores.
- Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility.
- Assist as necessary in the orientation of newly assigned personnel to your unit.
- Attend in-service training programs as scheduled.
- Attend and participate in annual OSHA, DOH and CDC in-service training programs for hazard communication, TB management, and bloodborne pathogen standards.
- Attend and participate in continuing educational programs designed to keep you abreast of changes in your profession.

Qualifications
