What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Varsity Flag Football Coach position at Carrollwood Day School?
Coach to join our Athletic Coaching team. The ideal candidate will strive to build a highly
competitive and challenging program for the CDS student-athletes while supporting the school’s
mission. Carrollwood Day School is committed to offering a rewarding experience for our
students while maintaining high academic standards. A CDS coach is an individual who seeks
excellence on a daily basis while teaching life skills that will benefit the student-athletes within
the program for many years to come. This is a part-time, stipend only position.

The Position of Head Varsity Flag Football Coach:
As a cooperative member of the Athletic Coaching team, the Head Varsity Flag Football Coach
will build and oversee the entire Flag Football program in accordance with the mission of the
school.
- Authentically support and advance the Mission of the School
team Work in coordination with the Athletic Department to hire and supervise assistant
coaches Develop a culture for the sport and ensure continuity from the lower levels through the
Upper School program Actively supervise students during all activities, ensure proper use of equipment and
facilities, and safe playing environments Work with the Athletic Department to provide opportunities for instruction and skill
development for Elementary and Middle School students Develop an off-season program, camps and clinics to promote the sport within the
school and the surrounding community Prepare and maintain the teams budget in collaboration with the Athletic Director Act as a positive role model in all settings and foster an environment of respect, integrity and responsibility Help maintain high standards of sportsmanship and fair play in all facets of the athletic program Adhere to all rules and regulations stated in FHSAA bylaws and National Federation of
High School (NFHS) bylaws, as well as the Carrollwood Day School Coaches Handbook Exemplify a sense of professionalism at all times which includes game and practice
times, with opponents, parents, faculty, staff and administration Attend all required meetings or events for FHSAA as requested by the CDS athletic
- Adhere to School policies as described in the Employee Handbook and other materials

- Head Varsity coaching experience is preferred
