Reports To : Manager, Site Dept. : Field Activities
Description :
Oversee, audit and assist in the documentation of the work, including all
SAP data entry and any spreadsheets as necessary.
Prepare schedules for acceptance or FMIs as needed.
Prepare field report tracking defects as needed.
Monitor vendors for accuracy and completion of work and corresponding
documentation.
Help to coordinate all vendor activity to ensure expedited completion of all
outstanding work.
Meet with vendors and railroad personnel to coordinate car availability as
needed.
Assist in reviewing material requirements, utilizing SAP, to ensure that
material is available to conduct repairs, do FMIs or conduct tests.
Help to coordinate all material movements to and from Kawasaki and / or the
vendors
Assist and expedite the shipping and return of material to the site office from
the vendors after repairs. Ensure that defective parts are processed back to
the plants or the suppliers.
Monitor serial number activities on all components.
Assist the Acceptance and Warranty supervisors in providing timely
information on vendor support and material.
Audit all tooling and material requirements to ensure that schedule
commitments are met.
Issue requests for purchase to appropriate management personnel.
Attend any meetings such as FRB and customer meetings.
Oversee and coordinate small field teams, as needed.
Process letters to suppliers as needed.
Process customer invoices relating to field work and monitor those invoices
in Excel
Any assignment requested by the Site Manager or Senior Person on site.
Job Specification : Must have, at a minimum, the following :
1. Associate's degree in a technical field, quality, business administration or
engineering.
2. Excellent organizational skills.
3. Excellent communication, computer and report generating skills. Strong
proficiency in Excel.
4. Good written (English) skills.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work well under pressure.
7. Comfortable and professional when interacting with the customer
representatives.
