DEFINITION OF POSITION
-
The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner has in expanded role providing direct care to individuals, families and/or groups in an ambulatory or inpatient care settings. In collaboration with physicians s/he is responsible for diagnosing, and prescribing treatment for patients during all phases of wellness and illness. S/he initiates referrals for implementing the patient’s total care plan involving other health disciplines within and outside the hospital. PA/NP works collaboratively with Physicians.

QUALIFICATIONS

Professional
-
License and current registration to practice in North Carolina.

Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.

Acute care experience and certification is preferred.
