What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher Assistant position at Casa Central?
Seeking a patient, dynamic individual who enjoys spending time with young children. The individual will possess an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with a Gateways Level 4 Early Childhood Education credential or higher. This individual will assist in providing high quality, comprehensive early childhood education services to children aged 3-5, and their families. This individual will work in collaboration with the lead teacher to provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences, supervise all assigned children and facilitate a supportive and positive classroom environment. They will assist teacher in daily planning, classroom studies and learning activities, interest areas, reading and math literacy activities. Schedule is Monday-Friday; 9:30am-6:00pm. Position Highlights
- Assists in developing effective instructional strategies, classroom management, assessment and related research for children ages 3-5 years old.
- Ensures the individual needs of each child are met as mandated by Head Stat, COA, federal, state and local standards.
- Assists teacher in daily planning, classroom studies and related learning activities, interest areas, reading and math literacy activities.
- Facilitates an inclusive environment where children can learn in-group lesson plans through collaboration from the entire teaching team.
- Maintain knowledge on early childhood education and child development through in-service training, continuing education and other professional development.
- Work on other Adhoc projects as deemed necessary by the Lead Teacher and Early Learning Academy Program Director.
