What are the responsibilities and job description for the HIM Technician position at Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare?
The position is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the inpatient and outpatient medical record systems, inpatient and outpatient data gathering and statistical reporting. The position is also responsible for knowledge of all Health Information Management Department procedures. Qualifications: High school diploma, 3-5 year experience in HIM department in acute care facility. Preferably RHIT. Computer keyboarding skills. Good verbal and written communication skills to interact in a pleasant and professional manner with physicians, nurses and therapists, as well as patients and/or families and external requesters of information. Experience with Meditech and scanning is highly preferred.
The hourly salary range for this position is $17.19-$22.21
