Instructional Assistant

• Facilitate opportunities for spiritual growth in students
• Provide direct instruction to students
• Adapts lessons and activities with teacher approval to be used to supplement classroom activities
• Assists and/or instructs students with technology and/or student device
• Engage students one on one or in a small group settings using appropriate classroom management skills
• Assist in the evaluation of student needs as well as preparation of appropriate lessons and materials in collaboration with teacher and/or resource specialist
• Assist with providing adaptation in classroom assignments and curriculum
• Pre-teach and re-teach identified general education material
• Provide alternative testing formats
• Attend student support meetings on a weekly basis
• Be a students advocate to general education teachers, administrators, and parents
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Preferred 4-year education degree and/or equivalent experience
• Ability to take direction from teachers and supervisors
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to be flexible with
• Ability to relate well to students
• Ability to complement various teaching styles
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding student information
• Ability to take direction from teachers and supervisors
• Christian Role model in attitude, speech, and action
• First-aid and CPR certified or willing to receive and pass certification training
• Must be willing to abide by all current Cascade Christian COVID protocols

WORK HOURS:

Monday through Friday, 16 hours per week

SALARY RANGE:

$18-$20.25
