ABOUT CASCADE:
Cascade Community Healthcare (CCH) has been providing treatment services to Lewis County and surrounding areas for more than 50 years. Our mission is to provide our clients with compassionate and encouraging counseling leading to a renewed sense of hope and the ability to make positive changes and live more satisfying lives. Cascade currently has six treatment locations in Lewis County.
We are looking for a Peer Certified Client Transporter to join our Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) team. The Client Transporter is responsible for providing transportation services to clients as assigned.
SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
This position will normally require that the employee work a standard, Monday through Friday, forty (40) hour work week. This position is classified as being “non-exempt” according to the Fair Labor Standards Act.
PAY SCALE:
$20.90 - $25.48, DOE
WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE:
- Experience in transportation industry preferred.
- Must have High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Washington State Department of Health Credential required, Registered Agency Affiliated Counselor (RAAC).
- Must be a Washington State Certified Peer Counselor.
- Must be able to pass WA State Patrol background check. National background check may be required.
- Must have a current Washington State Driver’s License.
- Must have an acceptable driving record.
- Must be physically and legally able to drive, including in inclement weather.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Must be able to represent the Agency in a positive and professional manner.
- Must be able to enter information into a computer network system.
- Must comply with agency policies and procedures.
- Must maintain current home telephone and address on file with the personnel office.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Transports clients to approved scheduled appointments, or other approved locations.
- Monitor client during transportation.
- Provides peer counseling and support by drawing on common experiences as a peer to validate clients’ experiences and provide guidance and encouragement to clients to take responsibility and actively participate in their own recovery.
- Must document clients served and any pertinent interactions.
- Conducts vehicle safety check before each use.
- Demonstrates knowledge of Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB), must pass MOAB training course.
- Outpatient transport: must evade client in the event of assaultive behavior.
- Punctual and attentive to procedures and schedule.
- Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, and/or changed at the discretion of management.
- Complete all required AOT duties including coordination with referents, courts, and community partners.
