Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal operation and safety of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. This role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting complex systems, and supporting facility improvements. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and schematics knowledge, with experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing, and residential painting. Leadership and supervising experience are a plus, as well as familiarity with CMMS systems and customer service skills to coordinate effectively with teams and clients.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment using tools such as ohmmeters and schematics.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems to identify issues promptly.
- Repair or replace faulty components, including welding repairs when necessary.
- Program and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure seamless operation of automated systems.
- Conduct electrical work, including wiring, circuit testing, and troubleshooting electrical panels.
- Support facilities maintenance tasks such as residential painting, plumbing repairs, or structural adjustments.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Supervise or assist in supervising maintenance staff or contractors during projects or repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing environments or industrial settings.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding, electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, and use of tools such as ohmmeters.
- Residential painting experience is a plus for facility improvement projects.
- Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance team is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective reporting and teamwork.
