What are the responsibilities and job description for the Feedmill Operator Third shift position at Case Farms, LLC?
OVERVIEW ::
The Feedmill Operator is responsible for the daily operation of feed production equipment, ensuring efficient and safe processing of feed products according to established quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS ::
- The ability to maintain the running operation of the feed mill.
- Receive the ingredients for the mill.
- Put in orders for ingredients, batch the feed, and run the pellet mill process.
- Document all needed information regarding the feed mill processes and operation.
- Unload ingredients upon arrival.
- Clean the mills and facility as needed; responsible for cleaning out certain processes when plugged.
- Use technology to create the feed.
- Operate a locomotive, unload, and move rail cars and trucks.
- Pour micros into bins and change screens in the hammer mills.
- Assist with all other duties, as assigned.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Ability to read and write legibly.
- Basic math functions and skills.
- Sound work ethic, honesty, and good moral character.
- Maintains a clean, uncluttered, safe work area.
- Maintains a positive attitude and interpersonal interactions.
- Maintains consistent and regular attendance. Prompt, punctual, and efficient with time.

- Exposure consists of an environment with dust.
- Work in a setting that requires bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, etc.
- Ability to use a variety of tools.
- Operators and personnel are required to wear safety goggles, gloves, and dust mask (optional) when working with feed.
- May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
- Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
- Ability to work in a stationary position, on feet for the entire shift.
- Ability to work with heavy machinery for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to climb steps and to access and egress through the feed mill.
