We are in search of a Systems Improvement Operations Intern in our Seattle, WA office. Under the supervision of the SI Senior Director of SI Services, the intern will contribute to operationalizing a vendor contract management system and lifecycle to help inform vendor management, effectiveness, and return on investment over the course of nine to twelve months. This includes, but is not limited to, contract tracking, performance measurement, ROI assessment, spending analysis, and vendor relationship management. This role will work closely with the SI Operations Team and Strategic Consultants (SC’s)/Work Lead throughout the project with the goal of helping SC’s understand the financial implications of their work. Possible activities and learning opportunities include:
- Create a comprehensive vendor contract management system to track deliverables, performance measures, and spending.
- Develop a process to assess vendor performance and effectiveness based on contract deliverables and performance measures.
- Work closely with Strategic Consultants to support a regular evaluation of vendor performance against agreed-upon metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing improvements as needed.
- Collaborate with internal staff to develop a methodology for assessing return on investment (ROI) related to vendor contracts and services.
- Analyze vendor spending and trends, and partner with Strategic Consultants to anticipate spending patterns and predict potential under- or over-spending on an ongoing basis.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Graduate level business administration, finance, child welfare, data analysis/research experience (quantitative or qualitative) or related field.
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Ability to learn data analytic tools
- Must be proficient using Microsoft Products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability for occasional Travel may be necessary
This position will be offered for approximately 20 hours per week for a duration of 9-12 months depending on availability of candidate. This opportunity is paid an hourly wage of $20.00 to $25.00 per hour depending on level of education.
Casey Family Programs requires a COVID-19 vaccination for in-person work. Therefore, all employees will be required to present proof of vaccination status unless they qualify for a medical or religious exemption.
