What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overnight Yard Jockey - Sunday thru Thursday position at Cash-Wa?
We have a very active driving position that moves trailers around on our lot and backs into the loading dock using a semi-truck. In this role you will constantly being climbing in and out of the cab of a truck and hooking up to trailers. This position is responsible for maintaining a smooth and accurate flow of trailers to the docks while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to company policies and procedures. It requires using a shag truck to move semi-trailers and backing them into designated loading docks and parking areas, and assist in other duties as assigned.
Work Hours:
- 4:30pm until end of shift, Sun - Thursday until end of shift, Sun – Thursday (40 hours per week), with a starting wage of $21/hr or $22/hr with a CDL.
Requirements:
- High school education or equivalency
- Ability to complete paperwork
- Good communication skills, typically done utilizing a radio
- Organizational skills
- Experience driving semi-trailers or other large vehicles is preferred; CDL is helpful, but not required
Physical & Environmental Aspects:
- It requires frequent climbing into and out of the shag truck.
- Work is performed outside and therefore requires working in extreme hot and cold temperatures.
