What are the responsibilities and job description for the PORTER position at Casino Queen Marquette?
This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe environment for DraftKings at Casino Queen patrons and employees. This position is responsible for all janitorial duties including, but not limited to vacuuming, cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal. The Porter is assigned work according to the shift supervisor and completes those duties assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Removal of trash from all assigned areas
- Removal of all cups and glasses between machines on the Casino floor
- Cleaning between machines on the Casino floor, as directed
- Vacuum, shampoo, spot clean, and/or deep clean carpets as assigned
- Pan/broom carpet as needed
- Mop floors as assigned
- Cleaning bar mats as assigned
- Cleaning restrooms, including toilets, urinals, walls, floors, sinks, and removing all trash
- Clean all glass and mirrored surfaces
- Replenish all paper products and soap in restrooms and hand sanitizer throughout the property
- Cleaning and maintaining all surfaces in all restrooms including the employee and customer restrooms
- Clean the employee areas including the dining room, smoking area, and locker room
- Cleaning Deli area, Deli tables and the self service area
- Return all dirty towels to designated areas
- Dust/clean Executive offices and Back of House offices as assigned
- Dust/clean the executive stairwells and elevator
- Dust/clean security areas, including the conference rooms
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, and/or lost and found
- Must be able to apply knowledge gained from training, education and work experience
- Must be friendly and courteous at all times
- Able to satisfactorily complete assignable work requested by the EVS Shift Supervisor/Slots Shift Manager
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1-3 years similar work experience
- Must fluent in English
- Able to effectively communicate verbally
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Illinois Gaming License
