What are the responsibilities and job description for the Detention Aide position at Cass County Juvenile Center?
The Juvenile Officer of the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit of Missouri has multiple openings in the Cass County Juvenile Detention Center for Detention Aides. The positions are full-time, state paid with state paid benefits. The starting pay is $15.60 hourly with shift differential pay for qualifying shifts. Applicants must be able to work holidays and rotating weekends. Primary responsibilities include the care and supervision of juveniles placed within the juvenile detention facility and assisting with diversionary service programs as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: High school education, GED, or equivalent with one year of previous experience in the direct care and interaction with children such as YMCA, day care, schools, recreational facilities, or residential care programs. Provided equivalent substitution will be permitted in case of deficiencies of either experience or education. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, have a clean driving record, and submit to a background check.
