What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver (CNA, HHA, PCA) position at Cassia?
Cornerstone Assisted Living is hiring for Part-Time Caregivers (CNAs, HHAs, and PCAs) to join our team. In this role, you will provide cares and pass medications to our residents. There are Part-Time, benefit eligible positions working a varied schedule including every other weekend.
Part-Time Hours: 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm or 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Pay: $16.92 - $19.81 / depending on experience
What does a Caregiver do?
- Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence while assisting them with personal care and daily living activities.
- Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per individualized care plan.
- Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration as instructed. Report changes or concerns to the nurse.
- Document services performed on computerized charting system.
- Observe resident and report any changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, reaction, and appetite, to the supervisor.
- Assist the resident with personal care which may include the following: shampooing of hair, assist with showering/ bathing, fingernail and foot care, and medication administration.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
What does a Caregiver require?
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Attendant (PCA) experience preferred, but not required.
- Med Passing experience strongly preferred, but not required
- A passion for geriatric care.
- Strong communication skills to interact with residents and staff.
- Ability to work a consistent work schedule.
- Must be 18 years or older.
