Coding Specialist

Located in Southwest Michigan, we are a FQHC providing quality health care to the uninsured and underinsured. Our mission is to provide compassionate healthcare to people in our communities.

We are seeking a new Coding Specialist to join our team. You are responsible for ensuring that all charges are being appropriately coded (ICD-10, HCPCS, CPT, ADA) prior to submission to payers. Work with providers and other staff to ensure compliance with coding regulations.

What You Will Do

• Ensures all actions, job performance, personal conduct and communications represent the organization in a highly professional manner at all times.
• Maintains a commitment to the achievement of quality health care services by maintaining patient rights, safety, privacy, confidentiality and excellent customer service philosophy.
• Participate in the auditing and monitoring practices of coding for the organization.
• Assist with coding compliance efforts through auditing, monitoring, training, education, and internal investigations.
• Be familiar with coding specifications for various insurance companies including but not limited to Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking for someone that is eager and seasoned in the art of medical terminology and CPT coding. Our ideal candidate will bring a fresh perspective, new ideas and unprecedented enthusiasm. If you have 2 – 4 years of coding experience, then this is the job for you!

Pay: $22.28 - $32.19 per hour
