Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating various CNC machines including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other precision machining equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, blueprint reading, and quality control to ensure the production of high-quality components. Experience with Fanuc controls, CAM programming, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable. The successful candidate will contribute to efficient production workflows within a dynamic manufacturing facility, utilizing their mechanical knowledge and proficiency with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
Duties
- Set up and operate CNC machinery including milling machines, lathes, stamping presses, and press brake machines.
- Program CNC equipment using CAM software and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to produce precise parts.
- Utilize CAD software such as SolidWorks for design verification and tooling development.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues related to Fanuc controls and other automation systems.
- Conduct quality control inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Read and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Handle materials and assist with fabrication, assembly line tasks, or materials handling as needed.
- Operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment if certified, for efficient material movement within the facility.
- Maintain a clean work environment adhering to safety protocols related to factory experience and manufacturing standards.
- Assist in tooling setup, fabrication tasks, or welding processes when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or stamping presses within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, CAM programming, and familiarity with Fanuc controls.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret GD&T specifications.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in fabrication, tooling setup, welding, or assembly line operations preferred.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments including calipers and micrometers; experience with solidWorks or CAD software is a plus.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), factory safety protocols, materials handling, and packaging processes is advantageous.
- Prior warehouse experience or factory background preferred; familiarity with hand tools and machining tools is beneficial.
