Job Responsibilities:
Wax Set-Ups & Teeth Setting:
- Proficient in full and partial denture wax set-ups
- Accurate anatomical tooth placement with attention to esthetics and function
- Skilled in achieving proper occlusion and articulation
- Familiarity with various occlusal schemes (e.g., lingualized, balanced)
- Strong understanding of natural tooth morphology and arrangement
- Detail-oriented with a focus on symmetry and patient-specific customization
Processing & Acrylic Work:
- Process full and partial dentures using heat-cured, cold-cured, and injection-molded acrylics.
- Perform flasking, investing, and boil-out procedures accurately to ensure high-quality results.
- Pack and cure dentures while maintaining proper handling techniques to prevent material defects.
- Trim, finish, and polish dentures to achieve optimal comfort, esthetics, and durability.
Post-Processing & Finishing:
- Remove processed dentures from molds and carefully clean residual plaster or stone.
- Fine-tune occlusion, adjust fit, and perform necessary refinements to ensure precision.
- Apply staining, characterizing, and final polishing for a natural appearance.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure all functional, aesthetic, and durability standards are met.
- Work closely with the lab manager to make necessary adjustments based on clinician feedback.
General Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following safety and infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve any processing issues.
- Stay updated with advancements in acrylic processing techniques and denture materials.
- Assist with training junior technicians when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Experience - Minimum 4 years in denture processing, acrylic work, or related dental lab experience.
- Technical Skills - Strong knowledge of acrylic materials, flasking, packing, and polishing techniques.
- Attention to Detail - Ability to ensure high-quality craftsmanship with minimal errors.
- Problem-Solving - Ability to troubleshoot processing challenges and make adjustments as needed
- Team Player - Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bonus Skills - Experience with 3D printed denture workflows is a plus.
Compensation
- Starting at $30/hour, depending on experience
