We are seeking an experienced mechanic with expertise in heavy, medium, and light-duty equipment to join our team in New Berlin, WI. Poblocki Paving, a Heartland Paving Partner is looking for a mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of both gas and diesel 1-ton pickups, gas step vans, semi-trucks, dump trucks, trailers, and various other construction equipment. We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starter who is dependable. Somebody that is willing to learn, be on-time, stay on task, and maintain a clean and safe work environment every day.

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repair on heavy, medium, and light-duty construction equipment, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues in various types of equipment.
• Complete routine maintenance, general upkeep, and ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures, promoting a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with other team members to maintain high operational efficiency and meet project deadlines.
• Maintain records of repairs and services performed.
• Work effectively within a team and communicate with supervisors regarding project status and potential issues.
• Monday – Friday 3:00pm – 1:00am (over-time could be until 3:00am)

Requirements:

• Previous experience working on heavy, medium, and light-duty construction equipment is strongly preferred.
• Must own and be able to utilize personal tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, along with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend, etc.
• Strong focus on safety and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork.
• Valid Driver’s license with good driving record; CDL or ability to obtain a CDL is preferred
