Position Summary: This position is responsible for the fabrication, quality and accuracy related to the production of assigned exhibits and / or projects Essential Job Functions
Other duties as assigned Required/Preferred Education and Experience:
- Responsible for the fabrication of custom exhibits.
- Provide technical guidance and training of others assigned to work team.
- Have general cabinetmaking ability.
- Have a general knowledge and ability to work with wood, aluminum, steel, paint and graphics.
- Work with any / all materials by using all equipment that one is approved on.
- Study blueprints and diagrams to determine dimensions of structure to be constructed.
- Strictly follow all safety guidelines to ensure the safety of own self and other co-workers.
- Shift: 6am-2:30pm
Other duties as assigned Required/Preferred Education and Experience:
- 5 years of carpentry / cabinetmaking experience required.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings.
- Strong ability to handle deadline pressures and multiple assignments
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
- Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis
- Must have manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work with fingers and perceive attributes of objects and materials.
- Will be required to regularly stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, push and pull.
