Environmental Specialist / Supervisor
Near Bay City, TX
Chemical company on ship channel needs a supervisor over environmental reporting, monitoring, haz waste and similar.
Important Points :
On-site position; NOT remote
Work in all areas of environmental concern in the company
Requires degree - appropriate environmental science or engineering
MUST have at least 2 years post-university enviro experience; prefer some supervision
Position
Work under site EHS manager
Manage technical program and one direct report (technician)
All areas of water, waste, permits, etc, such as :
Haz Waste / RCRA, etc
NPDES, SPCC, contingency plans, etc
Work with all stakeholders on incidents, spills, etc
Compliance reports
Extensive work with corporate HSE, regulators, site senior management, etc
Oversee / manage contracts such as waste disposal, storage, etc
Sampling : water, waste, materials, air / emissions (sometimes)
This can be a "stable" or development position
Required / preferred
Degree in appropriate science / engineering
Approximately 2 years post university environmental experience needed. Must have had experience in / around operations, sites, etc. Not just desks, modeling, reporting!
Nice human being able to and enjoys working with people!
Able to work in and around an active operation inside and out.
Able to legally work in the U.S. without a visa or sponsorship now or in the future.
Salary is over $100,000 - $125,000, bonus, etc.
