Love pickleball, great at sales and want some extra cash? Category 5 Indoor Pickleball Club is growing fast—and we’re looking for a dynamic, people-first Sales Specialist to join our team. This part-time role is perfect for someone who wants the stability of an hourly wage coupled with the earnings potential of a commission-based sales program. The Sales Specialist will be instrumental in growing our community through leagues and memberships and creating lasting partnerships with local organizations.
Part-time hours can be designed to fit within your schedule. Compensation includes an hourly base rate coupled with commissions on memberships, leagues and sponsors.

The ideal candidate is:
- Motivated to close the deal and earn some extra cash. A knack for understanding how to connect the needs of potential customers with solutions, doesn't get too frustrated with hearing 'no' and wants to build a portfolio of passive income from renewals.

- Energized by the pickleball community: Loves the sport of pickleball (or is eager to learn) and enjoys promoting the benefits of sports, leagues and community.

- Charismatic and confident: Comfortable making cold calls, attending local events, visiting parks, and speaking with decision-makers at local businesses.
- Team-minded: Works independently day-to-day, but partners closely with the General Manager and represents the Cat 5 brand with pride.
Key Responsibilities
- Increase club membership by 50% over the next 6–12 months
- Sell and fill 75% of open league team spots, especially in corporate leagues
- Build corporate partnerships by cold-calling, scheduling visits, and creating win-win offerings for employee wellness and engagement
- Book private events and group reservations
- Represent Cat 5 at community events, local tournaments, parks, and corporate gatherings
- Provide facility tours and introduce prospective members to the benefits of joining the club
Compensation & Incentives
- Base pay: $12/hour
- Commissions:
- 25% of all new membership, league and sponsor sign-ups you secure
- 10% of sponsor and league renewals
- Flexible, part-time schedule with measurable goals and performance accountability
Qualifications
- Sales or customer service experience preferred, but not required
- Passion for pickleball or community sports is a strong plus
- Must be comfortable working independently in a field/outreach-based role
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
