What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Dietitian (RD) - Part Time position at Cathedral Village?
Part Time 20 hours/week | Flexible Schedule Monday-Friday
The Registered Dietitian is responsible for overall resident nutrition, quality control, diet modification, meal distribution, nutrition care plans and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Two years of prior supervisory experience as Registered Dietitian required
- Current Certified Dietary Managers Certification or State Qualified Dietitian for Long-Term Care required
- Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Must relate well to team members, residents and visitors
Expectations:
- Completes all applicable nutrition assessment, goal planning and charting documentation through active participation in the Comprehensive Residents Assessment and Interdisciplinary Care Planning Process.
- Assists with the development and maintenance of food services policies, procedures and objectives.
- Assists with the creation of daily menu specials in accordance with all applicable Presbyterian Senior Living policies/procedures and applicable state/federal regulations.
- Actively participates in the food services Quality Assurance Program.
- Assists with the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training, supervision, appraisals and implementation of corrective action for food services staff.
- Assists the Director of Food Services evaluate job performance of food services staff.
- Prepares schedules for assigned staff within budgetary guidelines, providing adequate staff to assure quality meal service.
- Conducts regular staff meetings with all shifts for purposes of planning, coordinating and implementing policies and procedures regarding quality resident food service.
- Assists Director of Food Services in maintenance of accurate daily and monthly meal counts.
- Assists Director of Food Services in the development of the annual food services budget.
- Maintains records, prepares and submits reports as required by community policy and governmental agencies.
- Acts in the absence of the Director of Food Services and/or Assistant Director of Food Services.
- Assists Director of Food Services in maintaining safety of kitchen work area.
- Maintains a clean and sanitary work area in compliance with established guidelines.
- Assures maintenance of a clean and sanitary work area in compliance with established guidelines though daily inspections of work areas, dining room and pantry area.
- Enforces food services department cleaning schedule.
