The Archdiocesan Youth Employment Services (AYE) of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc. provides over 2,400 underserved youth adults with job training, educational and career services each year. An additional 1,500 persons receive referral and job placement assistance through an extensive network of employers and community organizations.
AYES is seeking a Senior-Level Area Manager to deliver comprehensive youth services in designated geographic area, including hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation of staff, program oversight and achievement of performance outcomes. May supervise the work of employees and/or volunteers.
- Ensures Archdiocesan and public school coordinators, participating Agency personnel and employer site supervisors fully understand the basic program design and contractual responsibilities of the job training program.
- Coordinate the recruitment, selection, enrollment and assignment of clients in designated geographic areas.
- Coordinates pre-employment training classes for clients.
- Develops employer job training sites for clients with public, non-profit and private-for-private organizations that can provide a well-structured work environment, proper supervision and offer regular full or part-time employment upon completion of training.
- Coordinates the assessment, progress and supportive services needs of each client monthly.
- Evaluates and monitors training site compliance with employment and training agreement and applicable Federal, State and local government sponsor laws, regulations and requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Four to six years related experience.
- Management experience with knowledge of community services and job training.
- Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
