What will I do as a Volunteer Coordinator?
The goal of the volunteer program is to recruit, cultivate, and retain volunteers who assist and support Catholic Charities’ mission and vision of serving the most vulnerable. Many of our programs are supported through the skills and talents of volunteers in our community, and they are essential to supporting Catholic Charities’ outreach to our clients.
The Volunteer Coordinator will collaborate with the Human Resources team in order to maintain a cohesive orientation, training, retention, and recognition strategy for all volunteers and interns, keeping up to date with best practices for volunteerism. This role will also facilitate the recruitment and placement of volunteers by fostering collaborative partnerships with Program Directors, local schools, and community organizations. By cultivating these relationships, the Volunteer Coordinator will respond to the Agency’s dynamic volunteer needs and continue to grow the volunteer program.

What are the requirements?
A Bachelor’s Degree with two or more years of experience working with volunteers, community outreach, and/or recruiting. Strong Microsoft Office skills. Experience utilizing Better Impact or other Volunteer or HRIS systems. Social Media experience is a plus.
