General Position Summary: Responsible for maintaining the parish general ledger system including accounts payable and journal entries. Processes end of year parishioner contribution statements. Is a back-up for church front office and data entry of parishioner contributions
Principal Accountabilities:
- Records invoices in accounts payable system and prepares checks to be mailed.
- Records weekly mass contributions in general ledger system.
- Prepares weekly deposits from poor boxes and miscellaneous funds from office safe and records in the general ledger system.
- Transfers capital campaign payments received to the Advancement Foundation.
- Assists the Business Manager with special projects
- Responsible for all other projects, tasks, etc., as assigned.

Supervision Given and/or Received:
- Immediate supervision by the Business Manager
- Not responsible for supervising others.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:
- This position works in a typical office environment, but is subject to stress due to the evolving and quickly expanding business needs, tight deadlines and heavy workloads.
- This position is exposed to long periods of sitting, keyboarding and viewing of a computer screen.
Travel Requirements:

Education and Experience Preferred:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Knowledge and Skills Preferred:
- Microsoft Office – Word, Excel
- Sage Accounting
FLSA Designation: Non-Exempt
Job Grade: Part Time (19 hours per week)
